Hello everyone!

This past week has been pretty productive for us! We've started creating some new, fun things and have also gotten our Etsy website up and working! (Take a peek! http://www.etsy.com/shop/figandoliveno3)

So far, we've put up some really fun and vintage soy candles! They're set into vintage tea cups and are available in two scents: pomegranate and citrus & sage. We also finished some bracelets that are going to be great for the upcoming season. They're available in seven different colors and two different styles (single wrap and double wrap). They look great layered with other bracelets, too!

We're also in the middle of quite a few new projects: earrings, coasters, and eye masks. The last post was a close-up in which we asked you all to guess what it was. We ended up receiving a few guesses on our facebook page and one person guessed correctly! Indeed they are eye masks!

Our earrings are just about finished, too. They are studs and we are starting up with our "Vintage Collection" and "Classic Collection." Perfect to complete any outfit for a put together look.

Finally, we're in the middle of making our Spring coaster collection! They're really quirky and fun and we will be selling them in sets of four (unless you contact us asking for a specific quantity or style). One aspect we are really excited about is that they can be used as dry erase boards which would work perfectly for a party! You can just have your guests write their names on the coasters to help them remember which drink is theirs!

Here at Fig & Olive. No. 3 we strive to produce unique, conversation-starter pieces. If you have any suggestions, feedback or products you would like to see in the future, don't hesitate to contact us!

Thanks for your continuing support,

Hilary and Hannah

Just completed two pillowcases: 'Not Your Grandma's Kaleidoscope' and 'Under the Willow Tree' Pillowcases! Don't be caught dead with ugly pillowcases this season. Spruce them up and add some color! :)

"To live a creative life, we must loose our fear of being wrong." - Joseph Chilton Pearce

To be completely honest, we were unsure of starting this business in fear of failure. But we're getting ahead of ourselves, lets start from the beginning. Here's our story.

Growing up, we have always been close. We shared clothes, hair styles, facial expressions, and sometimes stickers.

Here's a closer look into our childhood:

We used to live in the south and, during those times, we were very into square dancing (living in the south influenced this, of course. . .). As you know, it takes two to square dance, generally a male and female. Hilary always had to dance (and dress) as the boy in the couple. Why, you might ask? Well, Hannah's head was too large (great brains) to fit into the cowboy hat. Hilary has always secretly resented Hannah for this, but, luckily, she has moved on (we'll call it that for now. . .).

As children we were also obsessed with Shania Twain and would constantly be found walking in circles singing, "Man, I feel like a woman." Yea.... we were pretty wacky back then.

I guess we haven't changed too much....

Hilary is now twenty one, and Hannah is seventeen. While we pride ourselves in our education (Hilary is a junior in college and Hannah is a senior in high school), we also like to indulge in the creative realm of things. Hilary's style is vintage, modern, and classy. Hannah's style is similar, but with a European twist. We decided to combine our styles to create original everyday pieces that would not only inspire ourselves, but inspire others. We hope that our friends, family, and others will be able to join us in noticing the small, beautiful details in life that can easily become forgotten by the hustle and bustle of every day.

Fig & Olive. No. 3 represents our journey in search of ourselves. To live. To learn. To grow. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "Life is a journey, not a destination."

Create on.

Cheers,
